KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Cedarville (Ohio) collected 13 first place votes and 524 points to finish No. 1 in the final NAIA Women’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.  The Yellow Jackets held the top spot in nine of the 11 polls this season including preseason.

Azusa Pacific (Calif.) remained No. 2 with six first votes and 517 points while California State-San Marcos held its spot at No. 3 with 491 points.

Wayland Baptist (Texas) moved up two spots from last week and tied with Malone (Ohio) at No. 5 with 467 points.  The next three spots remained the same from last week.  No. 7 Indiana Tech, No. 8 Biola (Calif.) and No. 9 Black Hills State (S.D.) all held their spots with 445, 431 and 410 points respectively.  College of Idaho moved up two spots to round out the top-10 with 377 points.

The 2008 NAIA National Championship teams and individual qualifiers will be released on Monday, Nov. 10 by 5 p.m. (CST).  The championship race (5K) will be held at Dr. Wayne E. Dannehl Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Nov. 22 at 10:30 a.m. (CST).
